What We Do
Most of what NAPS accomplishes on a mission can never be quantified, measured, or listed. For it is not the buildings that make a difference, nor the feeding, or the educational programs; it is the personal touch. Day after day and night after night NAPS eats, sleeps, works, and fellowships with the locals of the various communities. When someone gets married NAPS is there to rejoice with them and when someone dies NAPS is there to lend a shoulder to cry on. It is through that personal touch that a seed of hope is planted. As the building goes up and children are fed and return home every night to share with their parents the day’s lesson, that hope becomes belief. Belief that they can escape the vicious cycle of poverty, belief that they will live to see tomorrow, and most of all, belief that they can make a difference. This belief is what will make the difference for the next generation. Consequently, the half can never be told . . .
