The mission started on the 30th of August and ended on the 30th of September 2009. When NAPS got in the area, we divided ourselves in four main groups to to reach in all the directions of the place. The mission had eight Volunteers from Lusaka , two from Zimbabwe and five from Choma.
Our strategy was door to door and also following them in their gardens, Bible class and evening meetings. We also had a children’s program which was done from 4:30 to 5:30 every day. This made our work interesting people were willing to listen to us we followed them and helped them in their gardens while the word of God was been delivered. The children program played a major role in this mission as children went back home to tell their parents about what they were learning from NAPS.
NAPS also trained some local youths from the church in the district to help us with door to door who later decided to join NAPS to continue with the work after our departure. These youths took us to some homes which did not belong to Adventist people, and these became our target in our door to door.
Home Visitation
On a daily basis, NAPS took up the challenge of visiting homes from 09:00 am to 3:30m Pm to ensure that people where visited as per plane. This strategy helped us to visit over 200 big villages (homes), with an average number of 1800 people. At the end of the mission 220 people accepted Jesus as their personal savior and over 2000 people heard the gospel.
Baptism
On day of baptism, we had 126 souls who were baptized.
