NAPS is responding to Cholera outbreak in Haiti

AFP has recently reported that a number of deaths in Haiti were caused by an outbreak of cholera. This cholera outbreak was caused by a lack of clean water following the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that devastated the country in January.
NAPS will be providing cholera prevention training to the people of Haiti, as was done previously (Christmas 2008) in Zimbabwe. We are currently in the process of translating our Cholera Prevention Training Manual into Creole, one of the prominent languages spoken in Haiti. This manual will be distributed in Haiti as an effort to educate on the treatment and prevention of cholera. The success of this distribution will be facilitated by the NAPS Haiti Branch.
