Effective immediately, there is an Alabama state law that will be “enforcing” severe immigration laws against anyone who is suspected to be an illegal immigrant. The means through which this will be enforced include: legalized status check of children in public schools, refusing work to illegal immigrants, and detaining those who cannot show proof of residency. The rapid movements that have been taken to combat illegal immigration have stirred up great distress throughout the Alabama community. NAPS and Oakwood University Students are rallying together to determine what can be done to represent those who are no longer able to represent themselves. There are families that will be torn apart on behalf of new legislation and they are not allowed to cry out, lest they draw attention to their legal status. So who will speak on their behalf? Will you?
We are asking all, indviduals/organizations, who care to make a difference and take a stand, to join with us on Sunday, October 9th for our march on the State Capital of Alabama (Montgomery, Al). You can get more information about the march by clicking here or Download the flyer. If you will be present or are interested in how you can help, please fill out the form below.

Do you Sing, Play an Instrument, or belong to a group who does? We may need your talent at the Demonstration on Sunday. Please Call Mia Pile (256-726-7056) if you are interested in being a part of the program on Demonstration Day. The earlier you respond, the better as all groups/individuals may not be able to present in the time that we have.
Are you able to Donate? While some people/groups may not be able to attend the demonstration, we will need donations of Snacks, Water, and even Gas/Gift Cards. Donations should be dropped off at Oakwood University (NAPS Office in Cooper Complex Biology Department) or at the registration table in Montgomery. Please contact 917-294-0951 or email teacherdprice@y ahoo.com if you are able to contribute.
I hope we can come with something, I am willing for anything. May God bless you ABUNDANTLY!
